Edmund is a biodiversity conservation specialist with at least 15 years of experience in the Philippines. His expertise encompasses ecological and high conservation value areas assessments, ecological techniques and analysis, carbon accounting and habitat restoration, ecosystem services accounting, and community livelihood and enterprise development.
Edmund co-founded the Center for Conservation Innovation PH in 2015 and serves as its founding Executive Director to date. In the past, he managed and co- developed biodiversity conservation projects and REDD+ projects for Fauna & Flora International Philippines’ Biodiversity Conservation Support Programme from 2010 to 2015.
He was a leading member of Code REDD Philippines that implemented and promoted pro-community and pro-conservation REDD+ activities together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. As a researcher, he has written technical reports and co-written publications on biodiversity conservation, High Conservation Value Areas, REDD+, and new species discoveries in the Philippines.
