The Center for Conservation Innovations is proud to take part in The Habitats Summit 2024, a stellar group of 28 conservation organizations from different parts of the world, all ready and committed to building global conservation work through collective efforts. The summit is being held in Shiv Nadar University located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India from March 5-6, 2024.
Hosted by The Habitats Trust, the event is rooted in collaboration and science, where representatives can exchange ideas, resources, and expertise across a wide range of topics. This year’s theme is “Mutualism-In-Action,” underscoring the vision of “a world where critical action is a joint effort driven by mutualism, and people working towards a better world, driven by each other.”
This year’s summit focuses on undertakings in terrestrial environments, marine habitats, ecological restoration, and conservation technology, with a keynote of engaging and empowering local communities.
CCIPH, represented by its President and Chief Scientist, Neil Aldrin David Mallari, and Technology Solutions Team Lead, JC Jasmin, is also seeking assistance in gathering bioacoustics data to better understand faunal species’ recolonization, recruitment, and community reestablishment post-disaster and in camera trapping methods for estimating and monitoring wildlife populations, species distributions, and vegetation community assessments.
